Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

Photo source: The Best Blog Recipes

This recipe was so easy to make, or should I say bake.... and it tasted oh so good!

I wasn't sure how a recipe with only 4 ingredients (chicken, olive oil, brown sugar and garlic) would turn out, but surprisingly it was very delicious I'm happy to report.

The asparagus baked in the oven was a great idea and it turned out to be a perfect pairing with the chicken!

This will definitely be one of our "go to" meals when we need to make dinner....quickly!

Baked Chicken and Brown Sugar
Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
4 teaspoons minced garlic
4 tablespoons brown sugar
3 teaspoons olive oil

Directions
Preheat oven to 500° and lightly grease a casserole dish

In a small saute pan saute garlic with the oil until tender

Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar

Place chicken breasts in a prepared baking dish and cover with the garlic and brown sugar mixture

Bake uncovered for 15-30 minutes (depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts), or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°

Baked Asparagus
Ingredients
10 stalks of asparagus (per person)
1 tablespoon of butter (per person)
Foil
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Preheat oven to 500°

Wash asparagus and cut off ends

Place asparagus on the foil and top with butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Fold foil over asparagus to create a pouch with ends folded in and place in a separate casserole dish or on a baking sheet and place in oven
Cook for 15-30 minutes or until asparagus reaches desired tenderness
